AVOCADO HAIR MASK

This is a easy nourishing hair mask, If your missing ingredients use what you have, I like adding banana but I don't have any at the moment.

Ingredients:
  • Half a small Avocado
  • Half a Banana
  • 1 tbsp of Honey
  • 1-2 tbsp organic Olive Oil ( 2 if you have longer hair)
  • 1 organic Egg Yolk
  • 1 capsule Biotin (optional)

Directions:
1.  Mash and mix all ingredients together.
2. Section Hair and slather mixture into each section
3. Cover with a plastic cap
4. Leave for 15-20 minutes then rinse out with cold water so the egg doesn't cook on your head O_o. shampoo (cold water until the egg is out!) and condition as you normally do.

Notes: The extra can be used as a face mask. This will nourish your hair, I don't do it as often as i should, once or twice a month is probably enough, you don't wanna over do protein in your hair, if your missing Olive oil or want to try other oils.. feel free to edit the ingredients, you can use almond, jojoba, argon or whatever oil you like, if you have bananas add a half and mash it up with the avocado, Hope you enjoy this Hair mask :D

~ Chocolate Chip Banana Bread ~

I found this recipe online YEARS ago, and Today I wanted to make it again, but with chocolate chips...Its love at first bite. SO MOIST, and perfect! It may not be the healthiest recipe in the book, but its definitely healthier than buying it at the grocery store. :)

Ingredients:
  • 3 or 4 ripe banana's smashed
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
 Directions:

No need for mixer. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
1.) With a wooden spoon, mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl.
2.) Next, Mix in the Sugar, egg, and vanilla.
3.) Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix it in.
4.) Add the flour next and mix.
5.) Fold in the chocolate chips last.
6.) Pour the mixture into a buttered 4x8 pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a knife comes out almost clean (this is a very moist bread so when your knife comes out it shouldn't have any batter on it, but it wont be 100 percent clean either, check in the middle of the bread).

NOTES: I used a mixer because I wanted it to be perfect and evenly distributed, then I just folded the chocolate chips in last. If it browns too much on top you can put foil on top which will keep it from getting overly browned on top, this will depend on your oven. ENJOY! :)

Coconut Oil Hair Treatment; for Weak Hair

After All the Hair treatments i tried, i think this one is the best. If you feel like your hair is weak, falling out, or damaged..this is for you! The coconut will make your hair strong!!

1.) Take a small cup, like an espresso cup, and fill it with coconut oil, I used organic cold pressed coconut oil. put the cup inside a small bowl.

2.) Fill the bowl with hot, (almost boiling water) and mix the coconut until it melts into a liquid.

3.) When the coconut is in a liquid form, Your ready to apply it to your hair. Section your hair and put coconut oil on each section, massage it into your scalp; wherever you might have weak roots or a dry scalp. I massage it into wherever my scalp is dry or hair is weak and it makes my hair really strong, and stops breakage! : D

4.) Put on a plastic cap, and leave the coconut oil in your hair for a hour, or over night for extra nourishment! After your coconut hair treatment, wash your hair how you usually do, and you can even condition it if you want to. I used Nexxus Therappe Ultimate Moisture followed by a conditioning treatment.

Notes:  I usually only wash my hair 2 times a week. I noticed my hair is way stronger from just 1 or 2 coconut oil treatments. Its definitely makes your hair stronger with each treatment, and stops hair from falling out. I do the treatment before washing and conditioning, and if i put any oil (almond, jojoba, coconut) when my hair is dry I always do it AFTER I straighten it (and use heat protection spray). Remember not to put oil on your hair before using any hot tools, you will fry your hair. I like to put a couple drops of sweet almond oil on the ends of my hair after straightening it. If you have any questions just ask in  the comments : D

Sweet Almond Oil, Beauty every Bottle!

After searching for oil for my hair that was 100%  natural and free of many strange ingredients I decided to check out the essential oils in the aromatherapy section at the health fod store.
I found exactly what I wanted Sweet almond oil,  which comes from dried kernals from a tree called pruns amygdalus. There are so many things in the oil thats beneficial  essential fatty acids,  vitamins E, calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and much more.
I have sensitive skin and it doesnt irritate my skin. I also have dark circles under my eyes,  and I find the oil helps me alot.

Here are some ways to use Sweet Almond Oil, I paid about  5 bucks for a bottle of 4 oz.

● After washing your face apply a few drops of almond oil and rub it under your eyes to lighten circles, you can also put some on a cotton ball and put all over your face. I usually do this before bed it won't make your skin oily and will absorb over night.

● If you have dry or damaged hair apply a dime sized amount of oil in the palm of your hand and distribute thru hair focusing on the ends. Do this after shampooig or styling, you may need more or less depending on your hair length. Do not put in before styling hot tools and oil will fry your hair. I usually put it in my hair after washing just to keep in moisturized and I do not use a straightener until I wash it out.

● Can use before washing hair put 1-2 tbsp in hair and massage in scalp working to ends, u can put ur hair in a plastic cap or even over night before washing. You can use a mixture of oils including jojoba or cold pressed olive oil, I like mixing jojoba and sweet almond oil and putting it in my hair for 30 min in a plastic cap. Your hair will ♡ it, u mihht need to wash it twice to get the oil out, depending on how it feels you may not need to condition your hair afterwards.

● You can make a sugar scrub to exfoliate dead skin just mix a few tablespoons of Sweet almond oil and sugar to make a consistency like cosmetic body scrub, you can even make gifts of foot/body sugar scrub, buy putting the scrub in little jars with bows makes a great homemade gift.

● Massage oil!!!  You can use this oil as hypoallergenic massage oil, which wil not make you break out and moisturize the skin.  I put this all over my face and it reduces the appearance of breakouts and scarring it has in no was clogged my skin or irritated it and I have very sensitive skin, so with that in mind as a massage oil its excellent choice.

● Mix with your favorite lotion before applying to your skin for extra nourishment.  I put a few drops in my hand with lotion and mix it before applying.

So go buy a 5 dollar bottle of Sweet almond oil and try it out, post your thoughts, comments, or experience with almond oil as a cheap beauty product.

Clean Hair Products OUT of Hair!

After using this and that shampoo hairspray, leave in this and that your hair may be full of icky hair products, and you might want to get them out, well theres a easy way to do it, while nourishing your hair making it shiny, and cleaning it all at the same time, and its in your fridge O_o, This is a easy simple Hair recipe to get your hair products out, make your hair shiny, and healthy, can be applied every other week. You might be wondering Dairy?? but most of the best hair products have ingredients of things you can eat, not only do you eat it but your hair will also love this treat. There are so many oils that are good for your hair, I used half a Tablespoon of organic cold pressed olive oil, and half a tablespoon of Cold pressed Jojoba oil, and a dash of raw wild honey, and my hair came out shiny and soft

Ingredients for hair mask:
1/2 a cup of ORGANIC SOUR CREAM(full fat) or full fat organic yogurt
1 Tablespoon of oils of your choice for extra hydration (Olive oil cold pressed, Jojoba oil, Sweet almond oil, or pure argon oil)

Directions:
1. mix ingredients together, apply to damp de-tangled hair. Put enough to cover hair, but put more or less depending on your hairs length.
2. Cover your hair with a plastic hair cap and leave for 20 minutes (the sour cream might drip so you might want to put a towel on your shoulders to catch the drips).
3. After 20 minutes rinse out with warm water followed by cold water, then continue with your normal hair routine of washing and conditioning.

Notes: I usually wash my hair 2 times a week, because washing your hair too much causes damage, and i usually do this before I shampoo followed with my conditioning treatment, which i will talk about in another post. The lactic acid in the dairy will clean and make your hair shiny. Its important if your hair is too dry to have a conditioning treatment, the oils will also keep your hair hydrated. One thing to remember about oils is never put them in your hair right before straightening( you will fry your hair), or using any hot tools. A oil treatment before shampooing is good, and then always use a good heat protectant spray, i will talk more about what i use in later posts, remember everyones hair is different so your hair will react differently the trick is to find out what your hair likes. :D
